I tried to connect the modules and the library, css works there, but to create variables and the rest of the less goodies do not work. Is there a clear connection manual?

Less cannot be connected to the engine.
The less.js file is for development only, the output is CSS.

LESS can be connected to Drupal exactly as an "engine" .
