How to properly connect 5 volt sensors to the cubieboard?

There was a desire to experiment with GPIO. The input/output cube is rated at 3.3v, and most sensors are oriented primarily to Arduino and work from 5v. Actually, what is a reliable, inexpensive and simple way to match voltages so as not to burn the device?

You need to use a level converter.
Either the chip -- www.ti.com/lsds/ti/interface/bidirectional-voltage... For example, LSF0204PWR
Or loose --
