How to properly configure VPN in windows server 2003 routing?
Situation:
There is a server running Windows Server 2003. The server connects to two channels:
External (network card 1):
IP 172.16.1.43
Internal (network card 2):
IP 192.168.10.2
Mask 255.255.255.0
DHCP and DNS are configured on the server, it costs domain controller.
The Internet is connected via VPN through an external channel. To do this, in routing, I created a VPN connection to 172.16.0.1, added a static route for it, and added these 3 connections to NAT / Simple Firewall.
The problem is that the VPN categorically refuses to connect (it crashes with the message Failed to connect to the remote computer). If you create just a VPN connection (not in routing), with the same parameters, then it connects normally. Routing works correctly, to local sites (on the subnet 172.16.*.* accesses normally from the internal subnet), packets go through the server. Connection to VPN failed after installing a domain controller.. What should I do?

Never put a domain controller on the Internet! In general, disconnect it from the Internet. What are you? Have you lost your mind? You let all your colleagues down with such unprofessionalism.
Buy yourself a simple router, like this one , and set up all your VPNs on it. Let it be your gateway. It even has a firewall, more or less normal.
Well, or set up any other machine as a gateway.
Further, into the account of routing. Honestly - I did not understand anything at all. You are either an amateur, or you do not understand what you are doing, or both. I think you just need to ask Google on the topic: " vpn server windows 2003 setup ". Immediately a bunch of links will come out, with pictures and videos. For example here .
