How to properly configure sm-datepicker (npm module)?

So it goes.
I use semantic-ui in layout. I ran into a problem - there is no tool for working with dates!
Googling, found this , but the instructions leave much to be desired. I couldn't find any documentation other than this one.
I need to bind the creation of a datepicker () to the element, but the instruction here is just for this instruction and was created so that I create the same crap, which cannot be used anywhere.
It seems that all plugins work like plugins - you take an element and attach a function to it and set it up, but here is some kind of nonsense.
Or maybe someone knows a quality tool for working with dates?
So that everything is simple, because I'm not the only developer in the team, it's nonsense for everyone to sit and study obscure instructions.

It is possible that the Calendar module will help (see the example in the sandbox ). The module is just created for this "Semantic-UI".
* Offtopic Amazing... Libraries are already being created on the basis of libraries. What will be next? )) While Semantic is based on jQuery, and then another library will be created based on Semantic. I constantly hear from colleagues that they played around with jQuery and it's time to return to native JS, especially since ES6 is very conducive to this. And someone is getting more and more dense on frameworks, but on libraries sits down)) Sorry, but I could not resist not to write my thoughts out loud.
