How to properly configure queues in Mikrotik?

I set up queues in Mikrotik using pcq. I can't understand one thing.
The queues type parameters have limit and Total limit. What are they doing?
I'm reading off-line documentation and it's not clear to me)) apparently tight.
The default values are now applied. I used to read about these values in order to understand how to reduce the number of drops.
In my understanding, the key looks at the passing traffic and, if the flow is higher than expected, slows down the packets, lining them up in a queue. If the so-called queue bin overflows, the newly arrived packets are destroyed.
How to increase the size of this bunker and what parameter is responsible for this?
Thank you

If the parameters pcq-limit and pcq-total-limit are meant, then these are the sizes of packet subqueues that will wait for sending if the limit is exceeded. Accordingly, pcq-limit is the size of each subqueue, pcq-total-limit is the total limit for all subqueues.
Usually packet drops are normal for some part of the traffic (for example, a web browser). If there is some traffic for which drops are not desirable (sip for example) - you need to put it in a separate queue and set the priority to ~ 0-3.
