How to properly configure exclusions in nginx pagespeed?

There is a bunch of nginx + apache. nginx has pagespeed.
In apache mod_pagespeed it was enough to write Modpagespeed off in .htaccess.
How to prevent certain files or directories from being passed through nginx pagespeed?
