How to properly build a training and development plan?

Hello! I perfectly understand that the topic from the series "how to learn to program" infuriates all more or less experienced specialists, but still I ask for your advice on development. Please, take it seriously.
Recently got a job in those. support for the core of a high-load project written in Ruby (first job in IT). Of course, I think about which development vector to choose for myself. During employment, the deadline was announced - 1 year before he could apply for the position of a Ruby developer, since there is no experience in IT. Have basic knowledge of html, js and php.
1. Tell me what kind of adequate growth do you see in one year? That is, what should a candidate be able to do after a year of study?
2. How to properly build the learning process, given that it is necessary to fill in the gaps in OOP, algorithms and databases?
3. How did you build the training in a standard five-day week?
4. What would you recommend to learn along with ruby from scratch, which will definitely come in handy in the future.
Thanks to!

@lwnd

1) ask your employer what they want to see in a year. Compare with vacancies for similar positions;
2) learn everything as needed, but 'you should dress for the job you want to have, not for the one you have';
3) it makes sense for the first few years to spend all your free time on training in order to quickly get to a certain level of skills and $/hour;
4) English;
