I want to ask if it is difficult to promote a young entertainment site today, and what can you earn from this on contextual advertising?
I had a small experience at the beginning of 2015 - a site on a free domain and free hosting about animals. It brought from 1 to 2 visitors per day from Google for two to three months. Then there was a temporary breakthrough to 30-60 people (about three months), after which the visits became uniform, about one and a half times the number of unique visits exceeded the number of articles. It's a pity, it turned out that the free domain cannot be monetized, so I had to abandon the idea.
Now I am preparing the site again, already with comments on the articles, I will choose an entertaining topic, I will slowly write the articles myself. It is clear that there will not be a lot of articles on their own.
1) - In your opinion, does the promotion of a young resource differ by 50-100 articles from what it was a couple of years ago? Is indexing difficult?
2) --And is it possible to earn something on a small entertainment site on contextual advertising? Or is it already yesterday?
3) - how soon will a young site start to bring at least such income, which can pay for the domain and hosting?
4) -- is it possible to promote without links? If not, what is the minimum cost?

Give up the entertainment site, now there are a lot of publics vk.com, Instagram, pikabu and much more, you won’t be able to compete with them. And traffic of 200-500 people on contextual advertising, you will earn around $ 10-20 per month. The exhaust is zero, and you need to live, eat and motivate yourself with the money supply coming from the site.
Take a look in the direction of a commercial niche, namely, to make an aggregator site, fill it with high-quality unique content and advertisers themselves will catch up to you.
It can be a site for car washes, schools, courses, massages, etc.
1) Buy an easy-to-remember domain
2) Install WordPress CMS
3) Index the site using Yandex Webmaster tools and Google Search Console.
You will have to study a lot, do not be afraid of information, you will need it to create a larger project.
Choose a commercial niche that you have a soul for.
