The problem is that the DeviceCapabilities feature reports the presence of duplex for printers that only have manual duplex (eg HP LaserJet P2035n). How can I tell them apart?

Strictly speaking, everything is simple in HP, the model number will tell you the functionality, auto-duplex is in models with the index d, n - suggests that the model is network. Yours doesn't have automatic duplex.
