How to program under Windows without being exposed to viruses?

Hello. Today I launched VSCode, entered the pip (Python) command in it, and a stupid Avast window flew out, saying that pip is something suspicious. To date, the Internet is full of left-handed code, virus climbs from everywhere. Question: how, without switching to Linux, to stay safe while programming under Windows? Thank you.
