How to profile Postgresql?
I would like not just to log slow requests, but to make beautiful reports.
Are there any tools that can do this from a normal log?
I found a couple of tutorials, like this - ruhighload.com/index.php/2009/05/11/pgfouine-%D0%B...
But I go through the steps - as a result, only postgresql does not restart. And since it is semi-combat, I swear and quickly restore the previous config. Where to find clear steps? And by the way, what is syslogd? How to put it on Ubuntu? (in general, I installed rsyslog without configuring - I assume that because of this, postgres refused to start)

Here's a fresh release, though I haven't heard any reviews yet: www.postgresql.org/about/news/1551
And what you touched - put it in its place and don't tell anyone about inclinations towards necrophilia))
