How to prevent third-party programs from opening their links in the browser?

I use the ace stream program to watch IPTV, there periodically when switching channels in the VLC player, their site opens in my browser (default Firefox) with an offer to buy a subscription.
Question: how to prevent my browser from opening these sites so that it does not even react, otherwise an important tab is open and then their site opens, what kind of extension in the browser or a ban in Windows should be done?

You need to make your dummy application the default browser, which will either do nothing at all, or will check what kind of page is requested and already based on your conditions /
Unfortunately, it is difficult or impossible to do this from the interface starting from the 8th windows, earlier in explorer settings had the ability to change any application to any action (even though your bat file and for your task is a couple of lines), and not just for file types by name, now you need to separately register the application in the registry exactly as a browser and only then choose how ' default application'.
I have not seen a ready-made solution, but I do not think it is difficult to do

I solved the problem with a crutch, made it in the Firefox settings so that the link always opens in a new tab, also installed the GREASEMONKEY add-on, wrote a script: if a certain site opens in a tab, the script automatically closes the tab.
The tab flickers for only a second
