How to prevent the mouse from sending the "back" command?

There was one unusual problem. Sometimes, when you press the left mouse button, the mouse sends a "back" command to the computer. For example, I want to click on a link in the browser, but instead I return to the previous page. As you can imagine, this is annoying.
How can I programmatically prevent the computer from accepting this command from external devices?

Are you sure that it is the mouse that sends such a command, and not, let's say, some kind of browser garbage like "gestures"?
