How to preserve volume letter after VeraCrypt drive encryption?
Encryption must be enabled on a laptop with Windows 10 Home, so the Bitlocker option is no longer available.
The VeraCrypt program caught my eye. After encrypting the volume, it requires you to mount the volume under a different drive letter. This is critical, because in many places there are already absolute paths for accessing programs on this volume.
Is it possible to enable VeraCrypt encryption but keep the volume letter? Similar to how it happens in Bitlocker.

I had a disk with the old drive letter hanging in the explorer. Through the disk management system, I changed the drive letter.
After that I was able to mount to the old drive letter.
However, automatic mounting at system startup does not work :(
Ps Automatic mounting worked. Initially, I installed VeraCrypt not on the system disk, but on an encrypted one.
