How to pick up two additional RAM sticks?

There are two strips of 4 GB (total 8 GB). 9-9-9-24, 1600 MHz.
I want to buy two more strips of 2 GB each, so that there are 12 GB (more is simply unnecessary).
What criteria, between the existing ones by 4 and the new ones by 2, must converge so that everything works fine?
