How to persuade clients to design in Sketch?
In general, the situation is this. I can design in Sketch and Photoshop. The customer asks to make a design and send him PSD files. To which I offered him a job at Sketch. How to convince him and will the layout designer have problems with the Sketch format later? In general, please explain the process.

For each such question, a gang of conservative typesetters comes running, unwilling to move once again and try something more convenient.
Now there are already a lot of layout designers working with a sketch (like in conjunction with Zepelin, I can be wrong). Yes, this is only for the poppy, but despite my hatred for the poppy, I hate the workflow using obsolete and frankly inconvenient technologies even more.
Just honestly explain the alignment to the customer, saying Sketch will save time and resources, given that you will find a suitable layout designer. In fact, alternatives to Photoshop allow you to make the interface 10 times faster, and time = money, and, I repeat, now there are a lot of layout designers working with a sketch.
How to convince him
How to convince the customer? Find a coder with whom you will interact. If the customer does not have trouble finding a contractor for this part of the work, then there will be no need to convince him.
