How to paste image from clipboard into finder on mac os?

I take a screenshot with a standard Mac OS tool (cmd + shift + 5), in the settings I specified to save to the clipboard. When I try to paste (cmd+v) this image into a folder in finder, nothing happens. But if you click "edit" > "show clipboard", the image in the clipboard is present. Tell me, am I stupid, or is it really impossible to save screenshots in finder from the clipboard in Mac OS? And if it is possible, then how?

cmd+shift+5 - save to desktop
ctrl+cmd+shift+5 - save to clipboard.
You don't have to reinvent the wheel.

You have made life difficult for yourself. By default, screenshots were saved to the desktop, it was enough just to hold down the control button so that the screenshots were copied to the clipboard, and not saved. Put everything back and just hold down control when you need to copy a screenshot.

cmd+shift+4 - like scissors in Windows, and immediately to the clipboard.
