How to Password Lock Apps in Android 4

I would like to close access to individual applications / folders on the smartphone.

By default, Android allows you to put protection on unlocking your phone, but entering a password / pin / gesture every time is quite inconvenient. I just want to close critical applications and folders that contain personal data (for example, GMail) from outsiders.

Ideally, also get the ability to control the phone in case of loss (delete data, location, etc).

Similar solutions definitely exist for corporate networks, but what options are available for an ordinary (advanced) user?
