How to pass values to a form?

Hello everyone
. I'm sorry for such a long text, I just can't describe it in a shorter way (I hope that I described my problem clearly)
There is a main page with a list of operating systems (Debian, Windows, MacOS). The list is presented in the form of buttons.
When you click on the operating system, the value of the button (that is, for example Debian) is passed to the script (flask) using ajax. The script makes a selection from the database and returns a list of releases, which is presented on the webcam as a button submenu. (the database also contains the release date and information about updated components)
Question: I need to make it so that when you click on a release, the change page opens. It has forms that correspond to the values from the base (made using the addform class), and it is necessary that values are inserted into these forms that correspond to the selected release (in order to change them).
Something like this :) Tell me, plz, I already broke my head
. I tried to do it through return redirect, it didn’t work out :( (as far as I understand, redirect can’t pass values). I tried to just render the template, make additional scripts in flask. I went to a fortuneteller, advised write here :).
Most likely, everything can be done through javascript, but there is flask, I want not to be disappointed in it
