How to pass a cell to the next tableViewController?

Application
- There is a tableVC that represents a list of names obtained from an array structure.
- You can select multiple cells at once.
Question
How to pass the selected cells to the next tableVC to display only the selected ones there.

I've tried getting the text of the selected cell's label, and saving it to a new array that also uses the structure. But I mean that this approach is wrong.
Point in the right direction where to dig, or if it doesn’t make it difficult , give an example of this work.
I would be very grateful.
