How to overcome uncertainty?

How to overcome uncertainty in the choice of language?
I've been programming quite recently (well, for about 5 years now). Most of the time I've been
programming in one language, designed to write different scripts for steam games.
Relatively recently, I realized that you can’t blind a promising life on this, and then I got into a stupor.
Which language to choose..
Well, okay, I tried Java. Didn't delay.
I switched to the WEB, it was a lot more interesting to admit, because I was attracted by the variety, you want a website, you want a desktop application with a beautiful interface.
I don’t argue, you can create no less interesting features with Java, but somehow I didn’t get to that.
But still, so nothing zyatunulo at least for a couple of years.
I have a couple of good ideas for Android and Steam platforms that seem really interesting, and I consulted with friends, they gave the same answer. But then again the question arose, what to choose?
On the other hand, Java, in which you can write whatever you want, for that and that platform
. On the other hand, C#, which has Unity, on which many top games are now being written.
But the problem is that I start running from one language to another. From Java to C#, from C# to Java.
Sometimes it seems to me that this cycle may end up with me completely ceasing to be interested in programming. Although it's hard to believe, since for me it is already something more than a good industry.
I can say that I live by it, I see it where many do not see it. I try to calculate the algorithm in every everyday thing in life. But sometimes I sink into depression, because I know that some of my comrades have already decided on the region, and I seem to be abandoned.
I do not argue with the words "You are stigmatized by one language written in life or what? You still have a lot of time, learn several languages." But how to decide? I do not ask a banal question - "Which language to choose?".
I want to know from you, how did you struggle with this choice in your time?

I have always followed the advice of the authors of the world-famous bestselling book The Pragmatic Programmer , Andrew Hunt and David Thomas, who write: “Learn at least one new language every year. Different languages solve the same problems in different ways. By learning a few different approaches, you can expand your horizons and not get bogged down in a routine.” And having tried a lot, it is easy to determine your own tastes and predispositions.

choose the most cross-platform language,
I see three worthy options:
- it is important that everywhere there is gui
JS CSS HTML - the easiest of all the rest is an order of magnitude, and you can do: sites, mob and desktop applications, and robotics
