How to overcome the compression of large photos on the site on mobile devices?

the essence of the site is to display to users images uploaded by other users. at the same time, the dimensions should be left original. but when you open the page on mobile devices, pictures of the order of 2000x5000px shrink as the device itself. Is there a way to overcome this or will I have to build some kind of crutch?
