How to overclock the intel q9400 processor on the mat. asrock g41c-vs board?
Hello, I am looking for help from experienced overlockers.
There is a config:
Processor: intel q9400
Mat. board: asrock g41c-vs
Memory: 4gb DDR3 1333
When trying to overclock by increasing the processor multiplier from 333 to another number, the system does not start, only the fans work. There is a lot of information on the Internet about overclocking dual-core processors on this board, but I did not find any intelligible information about 4-core ones.
Suddenly, someone overclocked such a processor on this board, or if there is advice on overclocking, I would be grateful if you tell me what to do.
Somewhere I read about the possibility of overclocking with the help of "voltmod", but I do not know what it is.

Quad processor needs a better motherboard, on a q45 chipset, so that the CPU power system is organized more reliably, so that a high memory frequency is supported, for example, 1066 for ddr2. And the mother on 31 chipsets is a budget segment. This Quad here only without overclocking and get up. And although your memory is 1333, what is the real frequency of its operation? I think less. Bottom line - use what you have now, for the future if you need an increase in power - change the mother + percent

They say the SoftFSB program is good, moved it with the slider and the frequency changed, I think it's very convenient)
Try it, less hassle)
