How to organize work with a client?

Good day to all!
Periodically I carry out all sorts of orders for clients, such as website development / website design. There is not much experience yet, and such a question crept in - how to properly organize work together with the client?
I mean, what order should be (the best option)?
What happens to me:
1) I find out from the client what is generally needed. What colors does he want to use in the design and are there any examples and some materials (logo, other graphics of the company).
2) I receive answers from the customer and get to work;
3) I make changes based on further answers and wishes;
The scheme works, but very often you need to make changes to the site / design, especially when you find out that instead of 1 paragraph, the client wants to shove the whole text somewhere.
I understand that this is a creative process, etc., but maybe someone has a different scheme for working with customers? Maybe all the texts should be requested at once ... I don’t know .. it’s more like a question of desperation from the fatigue of constant edits and changes.
Thanks everyone for the replies!

Already the 3rd "tired" in a week on the toaster ...
What are you getting tired of there? When you already understand that edits, alterations, etc. are all part of the workflow.
Ideal TK and customers are only in books, and local homemade ones. Only there, customers prepare TOR for 900 pages to create a business card site.
There is no universal way to communicate with customers. Each order is unique in some way, and you just need to be prepared for such things, and initially lay time for force majeure...
