How to organize two disk arrays on two raid1 + raid0 disks? And how will it affect work?
Hello, there is a home NAS, under win server 2008 without raid, two disks + boot. Decided to put it all in order and arose such a question. Is it possible to organize using zfs (while I plan to use it, I’ll add RAM, ecc) or something else with built-in deduplication (~ 60% of files (in size) are made based on the same templates) to organize on one disk as a mirror array for valuable information ( there is a backup, I want uninterrupted information, a maximum of 30GB of information) plus everything else for any garbage that is either pumped from torrents or not really needed at all, in raid0. Is such a disk marking something else? It seems to be a simple question, but I can’t find an answer and the practice of such solutions.

Is it possible using zfs (while I plan to use it, I will add RAM, ecc is) or something else with built-in deduplicationIf we consider Linux, then it is possible using zfs - however, not everything is good with stability there, and deduplication is online, which means that you will need a powerful processor and a bunch of RAM, and all this will slow down during recording, and deduplication is not the most effective.
How to organize two disk arrays on two raid1 + raid0 disks? and how it will affect the workIt's not entirely clear how you want to organize two arrays, each of which assumes at least two disks, on two disks ???
Organize something like this:
* windows 2016 server core (enable deduplication)
1. 64 gigabyte ssd bootable
2. 2 disks in 1 raid - by the way, what kind of raid controller? if it is built into the mother, then use software raid
3. 1 large disk, for all sorts of rubbish like TV shows, music, etc.
But 0 raid on the file washer is clearly not needed, what kind of gigabit network do you have? What controllers? Actually, that's all.
