How to organize the installation and updating of applications on Windows RT?

There is a task to develop a windows metro application and install it on 20 tablets with windows RT installed on them.
The application has a narrow business specifics.
There are no problems with the development of the application.
The main question is how to organize the installation and further update of the application on tablets, bypassing the windows store.
I did not find any intelligible information on this topic. Calls to Microsoft support were unsuccessful.
I read about the option of using windows Intune, but, as I understand it, some kind of activation key is required. Where to get it is not clear.
There is an Action Pack Developer And Design subscription and, as a result, access to Windows Intune and Systen Center products.
But this did not add clarity. As far as I understand, the problem is the lack of a key that would allow installing unsigned applications.
To test the application, you can use a developer license, but, as they say, it is valid only for a month, and the application installed with its help will also stop working after a month. You will need to sign in again with your Microsoft account.
Creating a package for installation in Visual Studio creates a certificate file that expires after one year and a script for Power Shell.
If the installation is done in this way, the application will not stop running after a year or a month? Which way is correct?

I haven't tested what will happen when the certificate is expired, but I'm guessing it's not good. I see a way out in using a normal certificate for sideloading. When building the Windows Store App package in VS, double-click on Package.appxmanifest, on the Packaging tab, click on the Choose Certificate button and say not Create test certificate, but Pick from certificate store or Select from file.
