How to organize simple and convenient work with SSH?

Let's say I work in Putty where I constantly have to enter a password that is not visible (as I understand security), where I cannot exit the editor (restarting Putty and a new login).
In general, it is very difficult to work there.
How to make working with SSH more convenient?

The first thing I would advise is to install a convenient ssh client, I myself am a mac driver, but my colleagues with Windows advise Securecrt , the second is to set up authorization by keys and it’s safer and you don’t need to enter a password, there are many more ways to make work more convenient and automate, start with a convenient client and its settings.
