How to organize file storage?

Good afternoon. How can you do the next thing? There is a studio, in the studio there is a wi-fi network, about 5-10 laptops and 2 stationary PCs are connected to it. It is necessary to organize data exchange between these PCs. Data - video files with a size of 200 MB and above. It is also necessary that the file can be uploaded to the server and from home. For such a case, we decided to install a server and connect it to the router with a wire. (example config: i3-i5, 1-2GB RAM, 500GB-1TB disk).
How it should work. Description in plain language. The operator, after filming the material, uploads the files to the server from home. Further, the editor downloads the files he needs from the server from home or from the studio and works with them. At the same time, 2-3 operators can upload files to the server.
Everything should work for operators and editors as simply as possible. Operators and editors use Windows 7, 8.1, 10 as the OS used. Both Windows and Linux can be installed on the server (I worked only with Ubuntu, according to online instructions). Due to the fact that the server has not yet been purchased, you can also wish for a config. Everything should work according to the principle: set it and forget it. As an option, I thought about putting an FTP server and connecting via FTP. Just how to do it - I have no idea. If there are easier options - write and tell how to put.

+1 for us.
www.citilink.ru/catalog/computers_and_notebooks/hd... you will have a reserve for the future in terms of expanding disk space, you can attach an IP surveillance video camera (1 license for the camera is free of charge as part of the delivery, more - expansion through the purchase of additional licenses).
Oh yes, PPTP or OpenVPN servers are already included in the device, all that remains is to forward the port on the router (for example, for PPTP you only need to forward one port on the router towards NAS = 1723 / tcp) + enter user logins / passwords on the device.
