How to organize a network in a small office?

Advise materials that may be needed when organizing a network in a small office. I myself am a beginner and I want to understand terms such as TCP / IP and such concepts as a switch, seamless wi-fi. I really want to know about the options for connecting the Internet (cables) and everything connected with it. I recently bought a book, but the information in it is very old, so I ask you to advise me where to start.

Wikipedia will introduce these concepts, and if you want to figure it out, I advise the series of articles "Networks for the smallest" . Written great.

The most important thing is to immediately try to put everything you read into practice.
Then the skill will appear, you will be able to ask specific questions.
