How to optimize video for the web (under Linux or through an Internet service)?
Hello!
I shoot video on the action camera sjcam 4000. mov container, h264 codec. Please tell me the easiest way to compress the video. It is desirable that without noticeable loss in video quality. I used to stupidly upload a video to YouTube, it was processed there, then I downloaded it (I received a gain of up to 50% in volume). I also know this web service https://clipchamp.com/. But I can’t really say anything about it, I converted it only once, I got a little antics, but, it seems, somehow everything became twitchy.
I am primarily interested in cross-platform solutions, because I work under Linux. Or web services like the same https://clipchamp.com/.
Thanks in advance for the replies!
Sincerely,
Alexander

FFMPEG will help you. Any manipulations with video + audio. Any available codecs.
From the first page of Google:
Convert video to 360p at 250kbit/s
In VLC, you can convert to any format. But which one is better - the question is already. FLV can, and maybe MP4.
It’s hard to imagine a service that will understand whether the video is jerky or not.
Well, the web is different - some browsers did not support free formats, for example
I advise you to convert your videos to webm (that's how I adapted it for Chrome), a regular video converter, on your local machine.
