Good afternoon,
There is a need to create a menu on the site with a large number of directories (about 2000 for SEO), it turned out about 20,000 nodes, the html menu takes 400 kb. Please tell me how much this is a problem when forming a page by the browser (how much it affects the speed) - just such a large amount of HTML and how it can be optimized (compression of the html structure + Content-Encoding: gzip is used)

Use interlinking on internal pages, if you have a cross-cutting block with so many links, it will not be good for SEO at all, but quite the opposite.
