How to open paths to a file server on MAC?
So, there is a file (a file server with Linux on board).
A script was written for Windows that gives an absolute link to a file with a disk number, that is, the link looks like this:
file / drive name / folder name / file name The
catch is that on Windows this opens without any problems, but on Mac does not want to open.
The problem is solved by replacing the drive name with the IP address of the file, but this method is not suitable, because a ton of old links will no longer open.
Hence the question.
How to teach Mac to open similar links?

if I understand the problem correctly, then you need to use the FQDN in the address - i.e. fully qualified server name. Well, or check if the MAC resolves the server name in ip correctly.
