How to open a site locally?
Hello!
Ask for advice from experts.
To conduct experiments with the site, I decided to launch my working site on a local server (openserver) so as not to break the current working site ...
My hoster sent me a separate backup file (archive) from the database and an archive with the files of the site itself.
In openserver, I created a folder called site.ru
Imported data from the working site into the database
In WP-config, I changed the password and login.
When I start openserver, I go to site.ru, the desired page opens (namely site.ru), but when I go to other sections of the menu, I automatically get to the working site.
What needs to be corrected? What would? if locally, then all links were opened under the local name?
When I try to log into the admin panel, I also get to the working site ...

Install duplicator on your working site and dump it. Then you will unroll it on local.
open the database with a text editor and replace the domain of your site with site.ru everywhere
or you can read more about it in Google. for example here is dimox.name/moving-the-site-on-new-domain
Maybe you have all the links spelled like <a href="http://ваш-сайт.ru/страница-сайта"></a>
