How to number coupons?

There is a discount coupon in a vector, the task is to make about a thousand of them with the corresponding numbering from 1 to 1000. Coupons will not be used for printing, it is planned to send them to regular customers by e-mail.
How is it easier to implement?

It's called "printing with personalization", there are many solutions to this issue that are easy to google, such as the PrintShop Mail plugin.
