How to move the screen of a mobile phone?

Hello, unfortunately there is no way to make a mobile version of the site, a long story.
I want to move the screen when some buttons are pressed.
For example, I press the cancel button and a modal window appears.
How to make the screen move to the center so that it is convenient to read the information in the modal window?
For some reason I call window.scroll(x,y) and nothing happens. Maybe somewhere there is an unnecessary overflow?
