How to mount a partition from Linux to Windows so that it works fast?
Hello.
There is a windows computer and a linux computer.
There is a need to connect a directory from linux as a windows partition.
We tried to connect via SFTP Net Drive - file operations are very slow.
We tried to connect via Samba - a little faster, but also too slow.
Is it possible to connect a directory as a partition without significant brakes?
Thank you!

If you have Windows 7 Enterprise or Ultimate, then you can try to mount the partitions via NFS.
You can also consider iSCSI as an option. I didn’t look at the speed myself, theoretically iSCSI should be faster, because. samba overhead for working with files is excluded, but there will most likely be some overhead over the network
Samba on Linux is very fast. Depends on a lot of factors. On HP N40L (Ubuntu 12.04) with 4 good screws it gives real 110 MB/s over the network
