How to monitor disk change on Windows 10?

Hello.
How can you monitor the changes that the disk undergoes? For example, when drive C grew in size, what file was it, the application enlarged it, and so on. (maybe the application was updated, and naturally the disk began to weigh more / less).
Thank you.

If you mean an increase in the used disk space, then it is useless to monitor, because even in idle mode, a bunch of processes are working with the disk.
In general, in a standard resource monitor, you can track disk operations.
In general, most likely these are restore points. You can delete them, you can disable their creation (I do not recommend), you can reduce the amount of disk space used for restore points.
In addition, after major updates, Windows saves a backup of the previous version, which can be deleted if everything is fine. You can delete it with Disk Cleanup. In Win10, the Disk Cleanup utility is quite advanced, so you can use it regularly. She also knows how to clean many other places where garbage usually accumulates.

From your vague wording, I understand that you are not interested in the size of the disk as such (it is fixed and does not change), but the size of its space occupied by files. So that we don’t have to guess, it should have been written that way.
How to follow? Yes, whatever you like, even through any monitoring program (say, Aida64), even through the OS, calling "Disk Properties" every time it interests you. There are also monitors that do not need to be called, they are always in front of your eyes - say a sidebar gadget called Drives Meter.gadget 6b8f0a1e162247d684797f63d9450446.jpg
or even more informative Drives Monitor.gadget2f45c7325b424b349ba4d01000fd59f5.jpg
