How to minimize damage from massive events in the feed?

I don’t know how it is in other feeds, but in habrahabr.ru/feed/new/ a few days ago, elements of the “Event” were mixed in. Why is it bad? Events have very little to do with the interests of a random user: they often occur at one point on the Earth, the reachability of which, obviously, is small on average. It is also obvious that among them there are no world-scale events, in which everyone must be interested. Nevertheless, they take the rightful place of the announcement of the article.

How to fix it? Turning it off completely is not entirely correct. After all, there is a small probability that all this is not arranged for the purpose of harm and that some events will be useful to someone. Are there user settings? Not? Then, a few days ago, a solution appeared through HabrAjax :

Title and date are visible on hover. Unfortunately, the city is not specified in the event announcement parameters, otherwise such headlines would be more valuable.

Let's add a setting that allows you to disable this type of content.
In general, everything is broadcast in the “All” tab, which is why it is called so.
