There is a task:
how to transfer organization mailboxes from Google Apps to Zimbra?
Google Apps allows you to export mailboxes in *.MBOX format, but Zimbra does not understand this format - it only understands tgz archives. Even if you export from Google to tgz- there will still be an mbox archive inside ... And for importing mail via IMAP, Google has a utility ... Imapsync is a paid thing ... Raising Express for intermediate migration is not kosher. I'm sure there are more elegant solutions without dancing with a tambourine on a moonlit night.
I will be grateful for advice.

Why don't you try any online or offline software to convert data. If zimbra supports EML, MSG, HTML, etc. then you can try MailsDaddy MBOX to PST Converter.
