How to migrate data from one postgres cluster to another?

There is a cluster with databases on postgresql 9.6.2, compiled from source codes. I want to install the one in the repository - 9.6.8.
Is there any way to transfer data without full backup and restore? Just by slipping the data folder?

Minor releases are installed in this way: the executable binaries are updated and the database is restarted in the same datadir.
What is a note in each release notes: https://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.6/static/release...
The release notes are worth a look for any missed updates, there may be important notes to update.
By the way, please note that 9.6.9 has already been released and it is worth updating to it.
