How to merge two sprites with a common parent?

I have two semi-transparent images
, one is the head and the other is the body.
Both are stored in png.
I want to create one object with them.
Animate them by deforming the picture.
And in the code to change Sprites and Primary colors.
For example
Bald Head.png with Outline Color = red, Base Color = blue, Shade Green,
Viking Hat with Outline Color = orange, Base Color = yellow, Shade gray

How can I best do this?
