, it can output "SVG, EPS or bitmap formats"
Question: how to glue the resulting files into a 3xN grid (N such that it fits on A4) with a script?

1. Some script in the server language that you know. Python, Nodejs, PHP, Ruby or any. You take an image library in this language and glue it together.
2. You can try Grunt.js or Gulp. They kind of once had plugins for creating sprites.
