How to map a network drive with full username through AD Group Policies?
Tell me if this is possible :)
Now: In group policies, when a user logs in, a network folder is connected as drive X with the name %USERNAME% (as a result, it appears as "X: Ivanov" in Explorer
) (i.e. "X: Ivanov Nikolai")
I asked Google - it seems like there is NO such variable. Everywhere they offer some scripts that "pull" information about the name from the domain.
Can you tell me the best way to implement what you have planned? Is it possible somehow without long scripts and crutches?

%USERNAME% is an environment variable that represents the user login in AD. As they say in Google, you need to either somehow pull the display name field of the user profile from AD, or rename users so that% USERNAME% matches what you want to see. Or initially mount the disk in the logon script.
Come on the other side...
On the domain controller, in the "Active Directory - Users and Computers" snap-in, open the right person, in the "profile" tab, in the Home folder - specify "connect" - the drive name and network folder (assuming a ball) . The disk will be connected and "self" will receive the user's full name.
