Task Management

How to manage to work with two customers?

Hello :)
Upwork. I am a backend developer.
I am writing a website for a client (for 6 months now). Development "calms down", there are almost no new tasks. We are not finishing the contract.
I'm going to look for a new client and work with him a lot. What if there are many tasks for both sites?
1) I'm thinking of telling the current client that I'm leaving for the " support stage ", and for new features, let them look for another developer (because I'll be busy on another project). I'm just there to fix bugs and help. how's the idea?
2) how are you doing? any ideas?
Thank you! =)

I have about 6 projects going on in parallel.
Everywhere tasks appear, then calm.
I try to distribute my time something like this:
40% for the first main project
40% for another main project
20% for other minor work on other projects.
But there are also situations when all clients wake up at once and everyone urgently needs it. Here, either plow for 10 hours a day, or break someone off.
In any case, as a freelancer, the main thing for me is that I always have a job. Therefore, it is not so scary to take a little more than to be completely unemployed.

Why guess and look for ways out of unknown situations, you can ask the customer about the continuation of the project, how many tasks there will be and all that
