How to make youtube responsive iframe not overlap adsense block on page?

At the beginning of the post on the page, there is a rectangular adsense block with text wrapping on the right. After the text, a fixed-size youtube video is embedded, which also wraps around adsense.
Recently, the author of the wordpress theme I use made all youtube videos responsive and fill the entire width of the screen, regardless of whether the iframe size is specified or not. Everything would be fine if the iframe did not overlap the blocks above (the same adsense), if there is not enough text between them.
What can be done through html or css to make the iframe move down? Or configure the adsense block so that it does not allow itself to be blocked under any circumstances?
