How to make your own autocomplete?

I got in trouble! Suddenly, several keys on the keyboard stopped working, and just the most necessary ones. I will replace the keyboard after the new year, but now I need to work somehow.
Tell me, is it possible in phpStorm to do something like my own auto-completion, that is, I enter, for example, +/-and it automatically replaces this combination with the character I need?

You need LiveTemplates (type this in the search in the settings window).

Once there was the same problem, about 7 keys did not work, but the NumPad keyboard worked.
With the help of AHK, I wrote a script and when I clicked on any button from NumPad, the buttons I needed were called.

Not too difficult? The brain will be shocked every time you need to print $b, and press $+, for example.
Maybe it's better to turn on the virtual keyboard or copy-paste the necessary variables?
Speed in comparison with an unusual bind will not decrease, it seems to me.
