How to make ubuntu not get warm on a laptop?

The processor on the ultrabook heats up, the temperature reaches 80 degrees, if you reduce the frequency, then everything is fine, but as far as I understand, Ubuntu should currently work correctly out of the box without additional software like laptop mode or cpufreq or not!? Ubuntu 14.04 system, core i5 processor, ventilation system is clean, thermal paste is replaced, Windows works fine, the temperature does not reach 65 under the same load. In Ubuntu, the processor heats up sharply.

faced a similar situation on asus eepc1201n
windows - everything is ok, it does not heat up, the performance is normal, the performance is driven by the pre-installed asus super hybrid engine software
in ubunts used to be jupiter for the same. Now he seems to be dead.
advise TLP instead.
and yes, without a file, not everything works in Linux, even in * rebellion)

Is the video card driver installed? perhaps ubuntu is running on the graphics core of the processor, thereby overloading it. Check your video card driver

remove the OS curve, install Debian/CentOS/whatever_you_like and everything will be fine

Here I have exactly the opposite, on Win 7/8/10 it heats up terribly, but on archlinux it's ok. Try to install it, I can even throw you an installbook so that you don’t dig into the wiki too much)
