How to make two hosts access one volume?

There is an HP storage works P2000 G3 storage on which there is a Volume with the ntfs file system.
As far as I understand, it is impossible to give write access to this volume for two hosts. the file system is not clustered.
Tell me, is it possible to give one host full access, and the second host only read access to this volume?
