How to make the video adapter work properly in linux?

I have an old RoverBook 401L Pro laptop. OS family Windows, starting with XP, work flawlessly. The problem occurs when trying to install Ubuntu. When booting from disk at the moment the user interface is displayed, I get about the same picture .
As I understand it, this can be solved by integrating the "correct" drivers into the distribution. The question is how to do it right? Would uck work for this ?
Perhaps there will be hints which drivers should be installed?
Z.Y. Installing older versions (9.04) did not help.

You just need to install the driver for the video. Download from nvidia website and install.
