How to make the transition from Basecamp to Redmine the most comfortable?

I used to work in Basecamp, and got used to the hierarchy of its entities - Project->List->To-do.
Now I want to set up Redmine so that it is comfortable to use after Basecamp,
but somehow it doesn’t work out very well. There is no List entity - i.e. separate task lists.
How can it be replaced in Redmine - task category, subproject or nested tasks?
Maybe there are some great plugins?
Please describe your experience of switching from Basecamp, how did you decide, how did you get used to it, how is it working now?

Basecamp did not use, but from your words I understood that you want to divide tasks into categories.
1) There is a project setting "Task categories" that will allow you to divide tasks into categories within the project. In the sidebar of the project, you will have categories by which you can quickly go to the lists of tasks you need.
2) You can create a "Custom field" of type list, make it for all projects and use it as cross-project categories. Then enter a cross-project request for each field value option - in this case, each request will be a list of tasks.
(For the query option, I recommend the free Extra Queries plugin )
